This Monday, I had the greatest pleasure of meeting little Lyonel, born a few weeks early, not too long after I photographed the mama- and papa-to-be. Lyonel is a beautiful sleepy baby boy who has been so good to his parents and so good for us in studio! He moved pretty easily between sets no problem. And even gave us a few smiles! Oh Boy!! It seems like these days I have been photographing a lot of girls. I was so happy to photograph Lisa and Marcus's little boy bundle, Tatum at 5 days old. He is just the most beautiful baby boy with that creamy tanned looking skin. He spent a lot of time awake today and we got to see those gorgeous eyes of his. But he was a happy when looking around, taking it all in. It also meant that I got a lot of cuddles today. Love those newborn cuddles. Oh sweet babe..

Oh man! Check out this hilarious little guy! Yesterday, we had a Dr. Suess Cat in the Hat cake smash for Alex, turning one! He took a little while to warm up and I was wondering how he would respond to a big cake all to himself. But he just dove right in and ate, ate, ate that delicious cake. Sophia's Sugar Rush, you have the toddler vote of approval. You know how most kids eat the frosting? Well, Sue's cakes are not just about the frosting. They truly are amazing!!

This past weekend, baby Jack and his family came over to the studio to get some newborn photos. Sometimes when I've photographed babies they resist going to sleep but eventually we get there. But this little guy pretty much fought sleep our entire session. As advice to my clients, I always recommend photographing newborns between 4-10 days and ideally before 7.
